Summary: Look Out
August 21st, 2007
Look out for the wall ! The cobra roll heads toward a pretty hard wall. It goes straight to the ground several times; I like that in inverted coasters. This has good themeing and a good queue line. It really moves fast, but watch out, it is a little rough.

Summary: Great
August 18th, 2005
This is a really good coaster. The ride time is longer than most inverted coasters. The coaster is very smooth and fun to ride in the front. You get to see the twists and turns of the track above you. Fun to ride without shoes. Really great coaster compared to other inverted coasters I have ridden. Others like the Raptor seem very rough with violent curves that leave you with a headache.

You have to ride-in-front otherwise it feels slow and not that intense.

Summary: Best thing at BGT!
March 15th, 2004
Montu is one of the greatest and biggest inverted coasters made. The track is still smooth after nearly 8 years. Foot choppers and trenches are frequent throughout Montu. The themeing is excellent because of the many trenches and the pylon. The queue is average because its your basic queue until one part where you see Egyptian writings and drawings and also some ABC gum (lol). The fun factor is good on this thing for those trenches and foot choppers. Montu overall is one of the greatest inverts ever made.

Summary: The Best!

Sine inverted coasters are my favorite, this is my favoite roller coaster. The first half is awsome with fun inversions. The second half is much calmer, but then your thrown into a flatspin.

Summary: UNDERATED!
June 3rd, 2003
Ok, I think this has to be the most underated ride on the planet. I hear all kinds of complaining about trim brakes, and lack of forces, and blah blah blah. Simply put, this is the best suspended roller coaster I have ever ridden period. I was simply amazed when I got off this ride and had to ride it 5 more times. I tried the front and found it to be even more amazing because you really feel the Gs in the front seat and the track is harder to follow. I had never heard of this ride when I visited Busch Gardens, but by the time I left, I will never forget it! You will love this classic.

Summary: Must ride in front

It's annoying how people always say it's forceless. More wrong they could not be... but sitting in front is a must for a great ride.

Top Thrill 2003
Summary: Fun but over-trimmed
April 9th, 2003
Montu has an amazing layout, but it is over-trimmed. The second half of the ride was completely ruined by the MCBR but to my luck the trim before the batwing wasn't on, causing the batwing to be full of g's. Hopefully whenever I make it out to Tampa again I can experience this ride with a few more forces.

Summary: A Greatly Themed B+M

This is probably the best inverted coaster out there that combines themeing, never before tried elements, and a setting that takes you to another world. This is the ride to go on at Busch Gardens, and it's one that you will never forget. You have to sit in the front row, it's an amazing experience!

Summary: Occasionaly Intense

If run in its top form, Montu is a serious contender for the title of best invert in the world. Great theming, high intensity, and an exciting layout make Montu an all-around great coaster. Unfortunately, Montu is plagued by trim brakes which severly hurt the ride's pacing. Thankfully, these trims aren't always turned on.

Summary: Bleh, waaay overated

I don't get what everybody likes about this ride. I rode in front and back and still think it is way overrated. Forces are hard to find, and it just feels really, really slow. Even the queue is overrated.
