Top Gun

Exciting through the whole ride. PGA usually stacks the trains. For best ride, ride in the front. The visuals are spectacular.

This is a fast, forcefull, and fun ride. The theming is very cool, and the line is almost never a problem. Plus, a fantastic water fly by to top it off. It's a little short, but still a helluva ride!

Top gun is one of the shortest full-circuit inverted coasters i ever road. It is fun but now after i have road it almost 50 times it dose not thrill the way it used to.

this is a great invert. it is super smooth and when u sit on the inside and when the train zooms over the water it feels great. the themeing is good because compared to the other rides there this has the best. three looping elements r good enough for me on this ride.

The speed, the small size of the inversions, the incredible forces, that dang helix of the water finale! This ride is one of the best out there! I say it's an A-, becuase the themeing could have been done better.

This ride only standing about 100 feet tall packs a great punch. What may appear a small coaster is really a fast intense one. Top Gun runs fast, has no MCBR's, and of course ends with a helix over the water finale (which is awsome cause it feels as if you could reach down and touch the water). Suggestion: Go to PGA and ride Top Gun.

Great America's first floorless roller coaster was "Top Gun." My experience with this ride was very memorable. Waiting times for me were very slim, and ride operators were very swift and accurate with loading times. The theming of the ride was great. As you walk through the waiting paths, you get the feeling that you're about to ride in a jet plane. Videos of jets and pilots are shown, with flighter-scenery. The ride itself is pretty short. However, out of the floorless coasters I've ridden, it was one of the fastest. The best element is the end in which riders are whipped, literally, around the corner to the station over water!

Overall, an excellent coaster! GRADE: B
