Summary: Old, But Still Good
June 6th, 2004
This ride used to be alot better back in the day, but it's still a lot of fun to ride now. It is a bit rougher than it used to be but it doesnt beat you up the way psyclone does, which is good because you can still enjoy one nice wooden coaster at the park.

Summary: Better back in the day
May 28th, 2004
I have to say that the ride looks better back in the day. I mean, the double hop instead of the MCBR looks awesome. This ride has gone to the dump i must say. The lat's from the jerking are just plain painful. But i do love the first drop and the bunny hops at the end.

Positive:

Bunny Hops

First drop

Negative:

Lat's

roughness

Up keep of the ride itself.

Summary: Once mighty, now just fun

Colossus is still one of my favorite woodies, though not the beast it used to be. The first and second drops still take my breath away, but after that the ride becomes a little less fun, but it is still intense enough and fun enough to make me ride it every time I go to MM.

Summary: Nice Woodie!
April 22nd, 2003
Magic Mountain's "Colossus" is one of the best wooden coasters I've ridden. I've only ridden a handful, but this was my second favorite, other than Marine World's "Roar." The lifts are tall and the speeds are good. Also, the twin-track adds to the fun! There's not much to say about wooden coasters, but all-in-all, this was good!

Overall, a nice woodie! GRADE: B
