This is one of my top three rides ever- the experience itself anyway. To sum it all up into one long sentence, the ride is great but the rest is bad. I don't know why it has a thumbs down.
Pros-
Different
Thrilling
Disorienting
Cons-
Always an extremely long line due to 1 train operation*
No real themeing
NO PREFFERED SEATING!!!
*If they could figure out moving dual loading system like Mr. Freeze, it would cut the que line in half, making the ride that much better.

This is a great coaster. Not a good one for wussies to ride. Those two towers give a nice edge to this SUPER BOOMERANG COASTER!

This is by far my favorite boomerang coaster. Yes the theme and queue are bad, but the ride makes up for it big time in my opinion. Hanging looking at the ground on the first drop is scary but fun. It's a pretty smooth Vekoma, but I still love this ride. I want more of these. All parks should replace there Boomerangs with these.

You cant beat the first drop. When Freefall first opened I always though how cool it would be if they made a coaster version of it. Well, there's Deja Vu's first drop in a nutshell, except that you are face down. The inversions are just as intense and a lot of fun to go through backwards. The line is entirely too long for the ride and the theming is non-existent, but if you want a rush, then hit this ride.

This ride is great. The best part of the ride is when they pull you up the first tower and leave you hanging in suspense. It's nerve racking. The cobra roll is huge. The best vecoma I have been on. Much better than Invertigo in my opinion. All I have to say is GIB's are awsome.

I thought it was a terrible ride. It took a long time to get on and broke down before I got to ride it. I just think its nothing special. Its your basic Vekoma. I enjoyed riding invertigo at PGA more then I did Deja Vu.

Everytime I go to Magic Mountain, Deja Vu is either closed or the line is 2-3 hours long. The fact that only one train can operate and the fact that the loading time is extremely long, makes for a long wait that I was never willing to accept. But, this last visit, the wait was only 45 minutes, so I finally got to ride Deja Vu. I am so glad that I did, because I have a new favorite ride! First off Deja Vu backs you up a 200 foot tower, and it is extremely nerve-racking as you dangle 200 feet in the air waiting for the cable to release you. Once it does, you rapidly plummett and pick up tons of speed. You rocket through 3 inversions and then head straight up the other vertical tower. This part is equally as scary as you see nothing but the sky ahead of you. It is a completely different feel than any other boomerang I have ever ridden due to the fact that you are completely vertical! On the way back down, you have no idea what is to come next as you rocket through the inversions and back up the first tower. You dangle there one more time before the cable slowly brings you back down to the loading station. What a rush! This is the scariest roller coaster at Magic Mountain and it is very exciting! If you can get the line under 2 hours, I would say it is well worth the wait!

Deja Vu is an AWESOME addition to SFMM's arsenal of Xtreme coasters! Whatever lack of themeing is quickly irrelevant once you get strapped and hauled back for the 90 degree, 19 story drop! I've never seen so many people get off a ride in complete
amazement and "Oh my God, that was INSANE!" state of mind. Definitely one of the park's gems and from the screams- An Xtreme WINNER!!!

Magic Mountain's "Deja Vu" is one of the best coasters there. It is so thrilling to be completely face-down waiting to be plummeted towards the ground. The anticipation is heart-wrenching, but once you've experienced it, you'll want to try it again and again. The queue line is way too long, though, and theming is nonexistent. Then again, what theme coincides with deja vu? Otherwise, a must-ride!
Overall, an extremely thrilling ride! GRADE: A
