Superman: The Escape

themeing of this ride is pretty awesome, and so are the queue lines, which were only a 5min. wait tops for me, but the best part is the 6.5 secs of zero gravity when you are floating in your seat. Also its fun 2 throw paper airplanes off the ride since your so high up :)----The only thing that they could improve on this ride is to run both sides agian and race the cars like they used to.

Great theming! Being in the fortress of solitude is awsome! The launch is intense and when you're at the top you feel waightless, An Amazing Ride! Best lauching Coaster i have ever been on!

(i really think they should paint the track like maybe Red, yellow and Blue) That would be amazing!

Every one writes this off as a waste of time... NO WAY. You blast out of that station so fast, you gotta love it!

This ride used to be fast, and have tons of air. But now, it doesn't even reach 90, and barely goes past the halfway point of the tower. Because of that, it has less airtime.



Superman was pretty tame compared to other launches like California Screamin' and Xcelerator.

It's the most exciting 45 seconds of your life!

Everything about this ride is quick except the wait in line. It is quite a rush for the time you are on it though. The launch is pretty indescribable and the weightlessness is top notch. Think of it this way; you can do 100 mph without getting a ticket!

There is nothing that can describe the sensation of speeding up to 100 miles an hour in 7 seconds, unless you have ridden Top Thrill Dragster at Cedar Point. But this ride was the original speedster, and I was very scared to ride this puppy looking up at the intimidating 415-foot tower! Plus, the first thing you hear is what sounds like fighter jets being tested in the park! The intense sound alone will frighten you. But, if you work up the nerve to ride Superman, you will be pleased as it is intense, fast, and fun! However short this ride might be, it makes up for it by taking your breath away right from the start. Be ready, because when it takes off, you will be in for the ride of your life! When you go up the tower, it rides so smooth, and the weighlessness felt at the top of the tower seems like it lasts forever. Say hi to Superman at the top before you plummett down back to earth at 100 miles an hour again. A must ride!

Magic Mountain's "Superman: The Escape" is a very exhilarating ride. Theming is great, and really gives you a supermanish feeling, if that makes sense. While loading, which was pretty swift, you look ahead of you and say "Gosh, what have I gotten myself into?" Before you can finish that sentence (literally), you're blasted into sunshine at speeds of over 100 miles per hour. It was the first coaster to ever exceed 100 miles per hour, and one can only wonder, why did they wait so long?

Overall, ride it! GRADE: A

Some may say that this isn't a coaster, but it IS! And it happens to be the fastest in the west! It also isn't that long but if you want speed in the west then this is the coaster for you.
